Image//2D to 3D to 2D//Rubik's Cube Art.

One of my initial thoughts when considering my outcome design, was a piece of work in an exhibition I saw named 'Outsiders' whilst still in college, in which a portrait of Freddy Krueger was constructed out of individual Rubik's cube square pieces with a stunning realism and with a creative, innovative concept.
Originally, I chose the word 'Rubik's Cube' as the random object within this module, as I felt it would have a lot of potential in terms of Graphic Outcome- with the bold, geometric form, three-dimensional shape and variety of colours, as well as it's iconic 1980's cultural connotations. Whilst these connections cannot be escaped in this images, as natural links are made with the history of the Rubik's Cube, it does demonstrate the creativity that can be applied in contemporary design and the arts in a unique and creative manner.
