Design Practice II//YCN//Jamie's Italian Illustrations.

Whilst initially searching for designs that would suit the hand-rendered approach that Charlie and I were originally intending to work towards for the design outcomes of the YCN/Graze brief, I found this design by Fabrice Gourdel online, in which he had created unique, hand-rendered branded packaging in a self-initiated brief for Jamie's Italian (restaurants). Really like the cool, modern feel that the design has whilst still appearing friendly and environmentally considered due to the brown board/card material of the packaging. A great style- neat, tidy, and yet still with plenty of character.

"Jamie's Italian is a chain of italian restaurants created by Jamie Oliver. The logo was inspired by italian ads from the 50s and 60s as well as the typography used on shop signs in Italy in the same era. I drew the logo by hand."
